Estate of Helen McGehee Tuesday February 12th @ 6:00PM Catalog With Images Estate of Helen McGehee to be auctioned with no Reserves at Bill Hood & Sons Art & Antique Auctions in Florida. The late Helen McGehee was a well known dealer in fine antiques having operated shops in Philadelphia and in Palm Beach on Worth Avenue. She was a regular participant at the East Side Show in New York for many years. The auction is scheduled to be held at 6p.m. on Feb 12th at the Hood Gallery. The McGehee estate will be sold in its entirety after which selected items will complete the auction. Among the most important items to be sold are paintings including works by William Ranney, John Peto, Grandma Moses, Orville Bulman, James Read, Eric Sloane and many others. Mrs. McGehee’s lifelong interest in Chinese export porcelain is well represented by many fine pieces as well as jade, ivory, silver, and many other items including a superb English campaign chest, vintage furniture, antique mirror and more.
